Kailash Manasarovar Yatra 2013 Apply Online & Offline - Eligibility and Selection Process Details 2013

Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, between May and September every year. The Yatra schedule, duration, Online Application dates and other related information about Yatra is announced by the Ministry of External Affairs. The Yatra begins from June 9, 2013 to September 9, 2013.
Who is Eligible
Indian Nationals holding a valid passport and aged between 18years to 70years as on 1-1-2013 are eligible for this religious yatra.

How to Apply
Interested and eligible Yatris can apply for the yatra through ONLINE or OFFLINE mode.The Procedure details are as follow...

(I) Online Registration Procedure and Details
Step1: Logon to http://passport.gov.in/kmy/ and complete the online application with valid information and take the printout compulsory. Last date for online application is March 4, 2013.
Step2: Send the duly signed online application along with the documents
  • Declaration Form duly signed, 
  • Latest Four passport size photographs,
  • Latest Medical Test results : a)Tread Mill Stress Test(TMT), b)Blood pressure and blood sugar levels for both Fasting and Non-Fasting conditions, conducted by Competent medical doctor(s), and
  • Valid Indian Passport photocopies(Xerox) of Photo page,Family details page & Address page.
Note : Last date for submission in person or by post(only Registered Post or Speed Post is accepted is March 11, 2013.

(II)Offline Mode Procedure and Details 
Step1: Download offline Application Form and complete the offline application with valid information. 
Step2: Send duly signed offline application along with the documents
  • Declaration Form duly signed, Download
  • Latest Four passport size photographs,
  • Latest Medical Test results : a)Tread Mill Stress Test(TMT), b)Blood pressure and blood sugar levels for both Fasting and Non-Fasting conditions, conducted by Competent medical doctor(s), and
  • Valid Indian Passport photocopies of Photo page,Family details page & Address page.

Selection Process:
  • Selection will be based on a Fair Computer Generated Random-Gender balanced selection process.
  • Selected Applicants will be intimated by the Ministry of External Affairs.
  • After receiving the communication about the preliminary selection, Applicants should confirm their participation in Yatra by depositing a non-refundable amount of Rs5000 directly into of the following bank accounts of  "KUMAON MANDAL VIKAS NIGAM LIMITED" or by Demand Draft or Cheque in favour of "Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited" payable at New Delhi
  • Send Applicant's confirmation Letter(in writing by the applicant) along with a copy of original Bank Deposit Slip to the addressed mentioned above.
  • Attach Self-addressed post card for Acknowledgement of receipt if so required. 
  • Selected Applicants will be informed about their inclusion in a particular Batch 3-4 weeks in advance before their schedule departure. 
  • Selected Yatris are required to report in New Delhi 3-4 days in advance of the Yatra with the following Documents to Undergo MEDICAL TESTS by DHLI(Delhi Heart and Lung Institute) and ITBP base Hospitals. Based on the final reports of all the medical tests, who passes these tests are only ELIGIBLE and allowed to proceed on the Yatra.  
  • Important Documents to be produced after Selection
  • Ordinary Original Indian Passport valid for at least Six months as on 1-9-2013
  • Indemnity Bond(Form-1) executed on a Non-Judicial Stamp paper of Rs10 and authenticated by a First Class Magistrate or a Notary Public. Yatris are required to this Indemnity Bond stating that they undertake the yatra at their own risk.  
  • Four Recent Passport Size photographs.
  • Undertaking Form(Form-2) for Evacuation by Helicopter in case of emergency.
  • Consent Form(Form-3) for cremation of Mortal remains on Chinese side in case of death there.

Duration of the Yatra 2013:
This year 2013, the duration of the Yatra will be 22 days. In addition, Yatris need to spend 2-3 days in advance for Chinese Visa and Medical Tests.

How many Batches are allowed for the Yatra 2013 ?
This year 2013, 18 batches will be send with a maximum of 60 Yatris per batch between June 9, 2013 to September 9, 2013. Last year 2012 only 16 batches were allowed.
