TTD Managudi Program 2013 on Shravana Pournami(Raksha Bandhan). History & Objective of this Novel Managudi Programme

TTD Managudi Program: 
Managudi program is a mass temple festival conducting by the TTD to promote and propagate Hindu Sanatana Dharma and preserve the great values embedded in the Hindu religion for the future generations.  

This year 2013 TTD is conducting the novel program "Managudi"(means "Our Temple") on August 21, 2013(Wednesday), the day of Shravana Pournami.

History of Manadudi Program:
For the first time this program was started by TTD on the day of Shravana Pournami, the day of Raksha Bandhan(Rakhi Pournami) in the year 2012 across the state of Andhra Pradesh. Second phase of Managudi Program was conduted by TTD on Karthika Pournami November 28, in 2012. 

Objective of the Managudi Program 2013: 
TTD is scheduled to conduct this novel program on the auspicious day of Shravana Pournami i.e. August 21, 2013(Wednesday). 

The third phase of this holy program is conducting across 20,000 temples in Andhra Pradesh in 2013. Two Crore Kankanams(Holy Threads) will be distributed to the devotees on this occasion. 

During this third phase of novel program, TTD along with Endowments department of AP will Concentrate more on the temples located in Harijan colonies, Girijan colonies and fishermen colonies and encourage the denizens to take part in this mass temple festival.

  • Alaya Shobha on 8 th August, 2013(Thursday), 
  • Dharmic discourses on 11th August 2013(Sunday), 
  • Kumkumpuja on 12 th August(Monday), 
  • Gopuja on 14 th August(Wednesday) in all 6A and 6B temples of Endowments department, 
  • Mass Varalakshmi Vratam on 16 th August(Friday), 
  • Satyanarayana Vratam in all harijana and girijana wadas on 17 th August(Saturday), 
  • Auspicious “Managudi” Novel Program on August 21, 2013(Wednesday) on the auspicious day of Shravana Pournami.
