Shri Khatu Shyam Baba Temple is
the abode of "Sri Shyam Baba Ji" in the village of Khatu in Sikar
district, Rajasthan. Shri Khatu Shyam Ji is considered to be the god of
Kaliyuga and He is synonymous with Lord Sri Krishna. It is
believed that Lord Sri Krishna blessed Barbareek during Mahabharata
battle that he will be worshipped like Sri Krishna as "Shri Shyam Baba
Ji" in Kali Yuga.
In this ancient and holy temple, daily sevas, monthly and yearly festivals are being performed to the Lord Shyambaba Ji. Among many festivals, Phalguna(Falguna) Mela Festival, Sri Shyambaba Ji Janmasthami and monthly Ekadasi Festival are most important and these will be cellebrated in grand manner.
Important Festivals:
- Khatu Shyambaba Ji Jayanthi: This festival is being celebrated on the day of Karthika Suddha Ekadasi.
- Phalguna Mela Festival: This festival is being celebrated for a period of 5days from Phalguna Suddha Asthami to Phalguna Suddha Dwadasi.
- Ekadasi Festival: This is a monthly festival being celebrated on the day of Shukla Paksha Ekadasi. On this day, the temple is opened for 24hrs for darshan.
