Kanipakam Temple is the abode of Sree Swayambu Varasidhi Vinayaka Swamy(Lord Ganapathi). The holy shrine is located in a small village of Kanipakam, Irala mandal, Chittor district, Andhrapradesh. It is believed that Sri Vinayaka Swamy, the main deity of the temple is self-manifested(Swayambu). The temple is located at a distance of 11km from Chittor town, Andhrapradesh.

History and Significance of Kanipakam Temple:
The holy temple was constructed in the early 11th century CE by the Chola King Kulothunga Chola-I and was expanded further in the year 1336 by the emperors of Vijayanagar dynasty. 
The temple name "Kanipakam" referred as in tamil "Kani" means "wetland" and "Pakam" means "flow of water into wetland".
