Tirumala Temple Sri Venkateswara Swamy Annual Brahmotsavams Schedule 2018

In Tirumala temple, Lord Shri Venkateswara Swamy "Annual Brahmotsavams" is the most important festival among all the festivals. This festival is celebrated for 9 days in the month of Aswayuja Masam (September/October) in every year. The annual brahmotsavams also called as Navarathri Brahmotsavams.

This year 2018, Sri Venkateswara Swamy Navaratri Brahmotsavams begins on October 10, 2018 (Wednesday) and ends on October 19, 2018 (Friday).

TTD Tirumala Temple Adhika Masa Brahmotsavams Schedule 2018

What does Adhika Masa Brahmotsavam mean in Tirumala?
As per the Hindu Lunar Calendar, an extra month occurs once in every three years. Literally,
"Adhika Masam" means "an Extra Month". The "Adhika Masam" is also known as "Purushottama Maasa" because of its religious significance. The "Adhika Masam" is dedicated to Lord Krishna.
This year 2018,  Adhika "Jyestha" Masam occurs twice  as per Lunar calendar 2018.

Guru Purnima(Vyasa Pournima) 2015: Meaning of Guru - The Day to Worship Teachers

The day of 'Guru Purnima' is traditionally celebrated on FULL MOON DAY in the month of Ashada(July/August) in every year. This year 2015, Guru Purnima is celebrated on July 31, 2015(Friday). The auspicious Vyasa Purnima is also called 'Guru Purnima'. According to Hindu Mythology Shri Shankara(Lord Shiva) is Adibhikshu, Sri Valmiki Maharshi, the great sage is  AdiKavi and Shri Veda Vyasa is Adi Guru.

TTD released 'ARJITHA SEVA TICKETS VACANCY QUOTA JULY-2015' for Common Pilgrims, Tirumala Temple

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has released Current Booking Arjitha Seva Tickets vacancy quota for common pilgrims for the month of JULY 2015 in Tirumala Temple.

The common pilgrims shall register their names one day in advance at Current Booking Counter, Vijaya Bank, near Central Reception Office, Tirumala.
